Mazda Limited has been
manufacturing Desuperheaters over 20 years.
Desuperheaters are used to lower the temperatures
of superheated steam to the desired level
by injecting the coolant via rapid heat
transfer. Highly efficient, rugged and proven
systems designed to lower the temperatures
of superheated steam within the shortest
possible distance from the Desuperheater,
via rapid heat transfer by injecting the
coolant. Variety of models available for
almost every process application.
FUNCTION The prime function of a desuperheater
is to fasten the process of absorption of
cooling water by the steam to ensure stable
conditions of steam temperature are reached
within a short distance from the outlet.
The main purpose therefore is to develop
methods by which the heat transfer between
the water and steam can be speeded up. It
implies that water droplets should be as
smaller as possible, the heating surface
area relative to the volume must be at a
maximum, absorption will be instantaneous
and the correct temperature will be recorded
within the shortest distance.
