HIGH ENERGY VENTURI SCRUBBER

  • Principles of Operation
    • High gas velocity in the venturi throat produces “shearing” of the scrubbing liquid by the gas stream and generation of fine droplets for effective mechanical capture of particulate down to 0.5 - 0.75 micron size.
    • C-R CAT utilizes a “curtain” of spray upstream of the throat through which the gas must penetrate to initiate gas/liquid contact.
  • Typical Operating Parameter
    • Liquid/Gas Ratio = 5 - 15 GPM/1000 CFM
    • Gas Side Pressure Drop = 5 - 60 in. w.c.
    • Gas Velocity in Throat = 150 - 350 ft./sec
    • Liquid Stream Pressure Drop = 5 - 10 psi
