Mazda’s Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD) is a highly efficient system engineered for Zero Liquid Discharge and effluent recycling. Designed to handle high-viscosity, heat-sensitive, and concentrated slurries, the ATFD spreads the feed as a thin film over a heated surface using a rotor with special blades. The thin film ensures rapid evaporation and drying, leaving behind only solids, powders, or flakes. The feed enters the ATFD and is distributed as a thin film over the heated surface by a high-speed rotor with specialized blades. The thin film promotes rapid heat transfer, causing water or solvents to evaporate quickly. Vapors are removed through a vacuum system, while the concentrated solids are continuously discharged in dry form.
